1, polyester film introduction

2, polyester film properties

PET is a high polymer, resulting from the dehydration condensation of ethylene terephthalate. Glycol terephthalate is obtained by esterification of terephthalic acid and glycol. PET is a milky white or light yellow, highly crystalline polymer with a smooth, shiny surface.

PET has excellent properties (heat resistance, chemical resistance). Strength and toughness, electrical insulation, safety, etc.), cheap, so widely used as fiber, film, engineering plastics, polyester bottles and so on.

PET has excellent physical and mechanical properties in a wide temperature range, long-term use temperature up to 120℃, excellent electrical insulation, even at high temperature and high frequency, its electrical properties are still good, but poor corona resistance, anti-toxic, weather resistance, chemical resistance stability, creep, fatigue resistance, friction resistance, dimensional stability are very good. Low water absorption, resistance to weak acids and organic solvents, but not heat resistant to water immersion, not alkali resistance.

Usually PET is colorless transparent, glossy film (additive particles can now be added to make it have color), excellent mechanical properties, high rigidity, hardness and toughness, puncture resistance, friction resistance, high temperature and low temperature resistance, chemical resistance, oil resistance, air tightness and fragrance preservation, is one of the commonly used anti-penetration composite film substrates, but the corona resistance is not good.
